Temporary Tattoos and Technology Coming Together
As a kid, I loved “Inspector Gadget.” I longed to be able to click one button and have anything you needed at your fingertips. I dreamed of one day being able to have access to everything with the push of a button. Now, that technology is available through smartphones and tablets and computers…Yet, there’s still a desire to simply tap my arm and have the exact thing I need.
For those like me who still want to be Inspector Gadget, MIT’s Media Lab may have a solution for you. Their researchers created something called DuoSkin. DuoSkin lets you use your smartphone or tablet from temporary tattoos you apply to your body.
Now, before you get carried away, these temporary tattoos don’t look like sparrows or hearts inscribed with “MOM” on a scroll. They’re cool, metallic, and trendy. The stylish look of these tattoos demands attention while allowing you, the wearer, to “control their mobile devices, display information, and store information on
their skin while serving as a statement of personal style.”
