Cookies for our Community

At Heart Technologies, we always does what we can to help the people in our community. One of the organizations we hold close is Easter Seals, an organization devoted to helping those with special needs. Each year, Heart enjoys participating in the Easter Seals Telethon, and as a way to raise additional funds for such a great cause, we decided to try a new approach to your typical fundraiser.

Cookies for our Community

Seeing as this is a time of year when many are visiting with friends and family, we came up with the idea to have a goodie plate sale. For a small donation, each donor would get a plate of about one dozen homemade baked treats. These goodies are the perfect thing to bring for family parties or intimate get-togethers and requires no work on the donor’s part.

All Heart employees were encouraged to purchase a plate, and many chose to buy more than that. Several employees went above and beyond to volunteer to make baked goods for the cause. Bakers were asked to bring their goodies in on Monday, when the plates were arranged to mixed arrays of treats and delivered to those who donated.

Baking that Benefits our Community

Overall, it was a fun event for all. It provided our employees with a chance to get involved and get something for themselves that would also benefit our community.
